Holiday Update

Wisdom Teeth Out - Check

Refill on the Percocet - Check

Successful Holiday - Check

Gained 10+ lb’s - Check

I love coming home for Christmas, but it has been slightly different this year. I started this break off with a bang by landing myself squatdab in the middle of the Oral Surgeon’s patient chair. A couple of IV drips later, and I was back on my feet with a face the size of a small child. I spent the rest of that week watching Private Practice reruns, eating strawberry jello, and icing my jaw. Note to self: get your wisdom teeth out before they are fully developed #stilinpain. I even tried pushing them back further than this break because the wittle cowedge girwl didn’t want to spend her freedom in writing pain.

Also, WTF, where is the snow?? This place is barren as hell. I am still dreaming of a white Christmas.

In other news, I just finished Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I don’t know what it look me so goddamn long to start that book. The murky finance language in the beginning deterred me last time, but I got through the first 50 pages, and it was smooth sailing for there on out. Great story, but I am confused still on the significance of the title? Larsson obviously wants the reader to know that the story is about Salander, and the progression in her unspoken relationship with Blumkvist, but why the dragon tattoo? The girl has a million, as Blumvist sulturly takes note, so what is the significance with the ancient animal? I’ll get back about that later.

In the mean time, I will be starting Lovley Bones! I’ve seen the movie, and since my Film into Fiction class this semester inspired me so, I’ve wanted to read the book. Thoughts to come!

Off to Europe to romp around with my Dad and Jack for a couple of weeks! Sups pumped. We start in Barcelona, Spain and head to the coast and up through southern France, across to Italy, down to Rome, fly to Paris and come home! Should be the adventure of a lifetime. None of us have been to Europe before, save my dad when he visited London, so we’re all in for quite the surprise. I’ve got a fabulous hand-me-down camera to take pictures with, so I should have loads of awesome candids by the time we come back on the 25th. Tomorrow afternoon we fly out on Pakistani Air (wahoo for SUPER cheap flights!…) to embark on our abroad adventure, landing in Spain at 10 am to hit the ground running. Don’t worry, my mom had me sit down and watch Taken, and I know now to stay away from any charming European boys that know some GREAT PARTY to hit up! STANGER DANGER. I think having my dad around might be a slight a deterrent, maybe? My only qualm: ZOMG, no outgoing texts. How painful is that? You can read what everyone is sending you (which will obvi be loads of useful information), but you can’t respond?? Whomp. I suppose you all will have to wait until I’m safely landed on US soil to be graced with my inspiring and pensive input.

Cutting to the chase: I will try to keep writing about my aDvEntUrEsSssss overseas with each day. Just keep your fingers crossed that I actually make it home in one piece. You never know with me…
